My weapon of choice:
A Nikon d60 w/ 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens, 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR lens, 50mm f/1.8D lens, a sb-700 speedlight, ML-L3 wireless remote,
and a Sony DSC-TX10.
I have yet to buy my Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens, Micro-Nikkor 40mm f/2.8 lens and battery grip. One thing at a time. :D

4 more days to Christmas! Di ko ramdam. :( I wish I were spending it in the Philippines though.

While packing I asked my nephew if he wanted to go with me to the States. And he replies “States!” (Which means yes btw.) So we put him inside my box, and when we asked him to get out so I can finish my packing, he gave us this face. :))

I love this shot of her. Very emotive, like her mum!

Like mothers, like kids. The girl is very much like her mum. Very emotive, kikay, and loves to be photographed - the next picture will show that. And the little boy is very much like his mother too - pilyo, random, but very lovable (chos.)

Oh, and please pardon the grain. I actually used the P&S for these shots.

Taking this shot was no easy feat! I had to have him hold the other side of the camera just to be able to focus and then shoot it actually. :))

Testing out my 50mm. This was shot during my nephew Aya’s recital. I’m forever the photographer in my family - especially during my pamangkins’ recitals. But no complaints there. :D I love them and I would gladly do it for them over and over again. ;)

An outtake from our photo shoot yesterday. Can I just say I love my Toms? I haven’t even opened my sandals yet. Haha. :))

So this is the first self-portrait picture I’m uploading that’s shot by my point and shoot camera. :D It takes pretty snazzy pictures like my d60 too actually. And it beats it too by 4 pixels. :)

I haven’t updated this portfolio for awhile so here’s to the first week of 2011! :D Sorry it’s gonna be a wee bit diary-ish since I don’t update my blogspot or my multiply anymore.

This was our tree btw. :) I was so used to never having a tree in the house - I grew up never assembling one back home in MNL. Weird, right? But really, my mom just got lazy, I guess. I was feeling a bit like Harry Potter too this year, like not expecting anything at all since my brother-in-law and sister gave theirs in advance — a Harry Potter Film Wizardry book, which I absolutely loved. Then my parents never really gave gifts :| So yeah. But I got surprisingly good ones from my Aunt from Boston and, even from the neighbors that I rarely see, so I’m really really thankful :D

2010 was a year of, I donno, boredom for me, I guess. But it did have its highlights; watched my first broadway play in San Francisco on April, spent the first half looking for a job, finally got two, had to leave after a month because I had to visit family, then after I came back, I got hired by F21 so there. From August til’ now, my life’s been a routine. Home-Work-Home. Not that I’m complaining or anything. :D

I’m planning to buy a new P&S… a durable one that I can actually submerge underwater for the awesomesauce underwater photography i’ve been itching to try. Was planning to buy a dicapac but mom told me to just buy an underwater camera instead of spend $100++ for an underwater case for my DSLR. And she does have a point. (; So I’ve definitely got my eyes on the Sony DSC-TX10. Its freezeproof, shockproof, does HDRs, 3D pictures and it has other features that I ~~like~~ love. It comes out on March so I can buy it before I board that plane going back to ever lovely MNL. :D

And yes, I’ll be taking a LOA from work come fourth week of April til the 16th of May. Finally, I’m going home! :D Le Boss said it was okay and there you go. I’m definitely planning to maximize my vacay by going to Boracay and other provinces so I can take more lovely pictures and update this portfolio. :))

Anyway. I have to stop babbling now and go to bed. Gotta start another work-week! 14 weeks to go and hello MNL!
